THE FUTURE OF THE PROFESSION:

The number of medical laboratories belonging to private and public sector are increasing every day. In the past years, as trained medical laboratory personnel was not available, high school graduates and chemistry and biology graduates were employed in these laboratories. However, from now on, private institutions prefer to employ people with 2-year laboratory training who can work at lower costs instead of 4-year school graduates. The fact that a great number of medical laboratory graduates working in this area confirms this situation. Therefore the department and its graduates are expected to be more valuable in the future.
