Celiac disease is a condition that occurs as a result of an abnormal response by the body's immune system to gluten, a substance found in grains such as wheat, barley, and rye. Symptoms typically appear after the consumption of foods containing gluten, usually after the age of 1. Initially, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fatigue may occur. In later stages, additional symptoms such as anemia and skin rashes may develop. Although it is a chronic disease, it is treatable, and treatment involves removing gluten-containing foods from the diet.

The Personnel Department Education Branch Directorate of our Rectorate will organize a face-to-face in-service training program on "Celiac Disease" for our university's academic and administrative staff as well as students on April 24, 2024, between 10:00-11:00.
