PURPOSE
In our program, our students, as "Elderly Care Technician", can serve in geriatric centers of public and private institutions, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes and private health institutions and organizations that provide quality "Elderly Care" at home, in order to gain professional competence in the awareness of ethical rules. It is aimed to educate by giving lessons.

STUDENT ACCEPTANCE REQUIREMENTS
As a result of the exam conducted by the Higher Education Council Assessment, Selection and Placement Center, students who have received sufficient points in the TYT score type are admitted. Students are also accepted to the program through undergraduate transfer. These transitions are regulated by a directive and students can only transfer between the diploma programs of different higher education institutions or the diploma programs within the same higher education institution within the framework of the previously announced quotas and transition conditions.
UPGRADE
Students who graduate from the Elderly Care program can graduate from certain departments of the relevant faculties included in the guide published by OSYM, if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by OSYM.
QUANTIFICATION AND CONSIDERATION
It is necessary for each student to attend the theoretical and applied courses in order to register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and to take the end-of-term exam. Students are subjected to at least one midterm and final exam for each course. Students who get one of the letter grades of AA, BA, BB, CB, CC, DC and DD from a course are deemed to have succeeded in that course.
A single lecture or three lecture exam is held for graduate students who have left three courses or one lesson.
INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS AND DURATION DURING EDUCATION IN HIGH SCHOOL
30 working days within the scope of Summer Internship course in Term II and 3 working days a week within the scope of Professional Practice course in Term IV.
GRADUATION CONDITIONS
In order to graduate from the department, their academic grade point average must be at least 2 and they must complete compulsory and elective courses and 120 ECTS credits at the end of 4 semesters.
QUALITIES SEEKED IN STUDENTS
It can provide the care that elderly people need, contribute to the development of the health standards of the elderly and increase the quality of life, compassion, understanding, patient, implementing and developing elderly care services, producing solutions, teamwork and sense of responsibility, public and private It must be able to provide quality “Elderly Care” services in geriatric centers, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes and homes.
TITLES and WORKING AREAS OF THOSE WHO COMPLETE THE PROGRAM
Graduates of this program receive the title of "Elderly Care Technician". Graduates can work in the elderly care units of public and private institutions.
JOB OPPURTUNITIES
Provided that they have passed the KPSS exam and are appointed, they can work in Public Institutions and Organizations in this sector, as well as as a Health Technician in Private Health Institutions and Organizations that provide Elderly Care services.
