An event titled “Play Games for Physical and Mental Activity” was organized by the Elderly Care Program of our Vocational School’s Department of Healthcare Services on April 22, 2026, at MİA Nursing Home and Elderly Care Center, within the scope of our University’s 100th Anniversary events.

As part of the event, board games developed by the students of the Elderly Care Program—within the framework of the Research Project course conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kuddusi KARABODUK during the Spring Semester of the 2024–2025 academic year—were introduced and played together with the participants to support the physical and mental well-being of elderly individuals.

The Aging Hands Community also participated in the event. With the involvement of Prof. Dr. Meltem UZUNHİSARCIKLI, Head of the Department of Healthcare Services, as well as the nursing home staff, three different generations came together, resulting in a highly productive, enjoyable, and memorable day.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our Rectorate for their support in this meaningful event, as well as to the Social Affairs Institutional Coordinatorship, the management of MİA Nursing Home and Elderly Care Center, and its dedicated staff.
