A ceremony organized by our University Social Contribution Commission awarded certificates of appreciation to faculty members who completed social responsibility projects in the first half of 2025 according to YÖKAK criteria, as well as to speakers who participated in social contribution seminars.
The ceremony held in the New Senate Hall was attended by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Hayta, who thanked the faculty members and seminar speakers for their contributions and presented their certificates.
Faculty members who completed social responsibility projects, Lecturer Dr. Mesude Bor for projects titled “Healthy Meals Healthy Tomorrows,” “Save to Sustain the World,” “My Virtual Life Jacket,” “Earthquake Awareness,” “Conscious Children about Natural Disasters,” “Educational Health Activities,” “Hand Hygiene and Cleanliness,” “Growing with Empathy,” “Protection from Infectious Diseases,” “Waste Guardians,” and “Safe with Traffic Rules,” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kuddusi Karaboduk for “A Book for Every Child,” and Assistant Professor Fatma Kartal Ersoy for the “Draw a Scientist” social responsibility project received certificates of appreciation.
Following the certificate ceremony, a “Social Contribution Commission Meeting” was held chaired by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Hayta. Providing information about the agenda, Prof. Dr. Hayta expressed the importance of the Commission's work and thanked faculty members who support and contribute to these efforts.
The meeting continued with a presentation by Social Affairs and Social Contribution Coordinator Assistant Assoc. Prof. Dr. Müzeyyen Nazlı Güngör about the evaluation of Social Transcript applications for the January-June 2024-2025 Spring Semester. The updated unit social contribution performance goals, compiled achievement data for the first half of 2025, analysis on whether the year-end target values will be met, and planning of necessary improvement activities were discussed. The meeting concluded with members sharing their opinions and suggestions.
